Did you know… Farmers Markets preserve farmland and support rural livelihoods? The Old Town North Farmers’ Market is committed to supporting local family farms. This year we are encouraging our farmers to follow sustainable practices.

We have shifted to a Sunday Farmer’s and Artisans Market during the Winter Months.

We are happy to welcome many of our weekly vendors to the Sunday Market after their time away for the holiday season.

Our vendors include Ana’s Twist, David Argento, and the Papa’s Produce Market Team, Cold Country Salmon, Cocolita Mexican Food, Clean Life Kitchen, Mary Louise Body Oils and Balms, Touch by Prince, and the Yellow Dot Shop.

This Sunday, Ellen Hamilton of the Yellow Dot Shop will have copies of her new book, “A Scottish Migration to Alexandria” available for sale! Pick up a copy and have her sign it for you!

David Argento and the team of Papa’s Produce Market are with us throughout the Winter with a nice selection of cider, apples, Winter veggies, farm fresh eggs, Amish Cheeses, Chef John’s creations and much more. 

Look for Cheryl at Papa’s stand on Sunday, January 23rd. 

Papa’s Produce bringing the best of PA to VA!

Look for Gordon’s Microgreens at the Community Table beginning on January 30th.

Chef Mario of Paella to Go is unable to join us on Sundays but returns on the Thursday Markets in the Spring and is available to cater your special events or for preorder with pick up or delivery.

Ana’s Twist brings us Ana’s unique Ecuadorian Foods.

Mexican Chef Carla of Cocolita Mexican Foods brings us tasty corn tamales, perfect for the cold weather.

Chewish Deli – Congratulations to our friend Gregg of the Chewish Deli who will soon be opening a second location on King Street.

Claudia of TAL Single Origin Coffee and Qualia Coffee Roasters has left a limited supply of her coffee with us at the Community Table and will return to the Market, Sunday, January 30th.

Grateful Pup – Brings a new delight for our four-legged buddies, healthy fillings for your pup’s favorite toy, and for
the well-dressed pup, a wide selection of bandanas.

Clean Life Kitchen brings delicious gluten-free goodies, good to eat, and good for you as well.

Indulgences Spoil yourself with Body Oils and balms from Mary Louis and handcrafted soaps from Touch by Prince.

Please know the Old Town North Market is a rain or shine market, however, if the weather conditions are unsafe because of extreme cold, snow or sleet we may modify the setup and hours for the Market. Announcements will be made on the Market Manager’s cell phone line. 571-218-2161 by 1 pm on the day of the market.

We encourage preorder and pick up from our vendors and on-site shopping at the market. Items may be pre-ordered for pick-up following the links our vendors have shared with us.

The Old Town North Farmer’s Market works to adhere to the safety guidelines of the CDC, the Virginia Department of Health, and the updated best practices issued by Governor Northam. Please help us to keep our community safe! Wear a mask if unvaccinated, stay home if you feel unwell, use the hand sanitizer at the vendor booths.

Free Yoga in the Fresh Air 

As the temperatures are dropping quickly the River’s Edge, Free Yoga in the Fresh Air has come to close but will return in the Spring as the weather warms.

We are a rain or shine market but we will cancel if high winds, heavy rains or thunderstorms make conditions unsafe for our shoppers or our vendors. Cancellations due to weather will be announced on The Old Town North Farmer’s Market Facebook Page and on 571-218-2161.
